Saturday 27th September - Cadets wash-up meeting

Cadets season wash-up meeting. Please come and tell us how you would like next year to run - what we did well and what needs changing!

Sunday 28th September - CCSC Cove Cup

Before you take your boat home for the winter, why not take part in the Cove Cup. The club is very keen to see cadets joining the racing. For dinghies, it will be 3 races with the first starting at 11:05.

Saturday morning sailing through the winter with RYA OnBoard and SailLaser

The RYA OnBoard Sailing at SailLaser returns to Saturday mornings from the 20th September offering you the chance to continue sailing right round to next April!

Alternative Saturdays will be Race Club (for Stage 4 holders) and OnBoard Club (for Stages 2 & 3).

Summer finally arrived back in time for the CCSC Cadet's visit to Sutton Bingham Sailing Club's open day; and what a superb day was enjoyed by all. An amazing 85 children of all ages, some of whom had never been in a boat before, all got afloat in a range of boats from Optimists and Laser Bugs, through RS Teras and Fevas to the larger Comet Trios.

For those who could sail the day started with a number of team relay races in a fleet of RS Teras followed by various other races and games (the water football was fiercely contested!). Less experienced sailors paired up and tried their hand at sailing Optimists and Laser Bugs. Meanwhile those who had never set foot in a boat before all progressed quickly from a joy-ride to helming under the supervision of a instructor in the boats.

The day finished with a wonderful sail-past in front of the Club House, prize bags donated by Harken and a barbeque.

We would like to thank all at Sutton Bingham Sailing Club for their kind hospitality and together with Tony Wood from the RYA, for organising such an enjoyable event.

2008 Registration Forms

You should have been emailed your registration forms for 2008 (if not you can download one here).
Please return them as soon as possible so we can plan the season ahead.

RYA OnBoard Scheme

The OnBoard Scheme is running again this year and now gives both children and their parents the chance of getting some extra sailing in on Tuesday evenings at SailLaser. Visit www.saildorset.org.uk for more information.
